This versatile Seitan Fillet can be BBQed or seared in a pan with oil, salt and pepper or sliced and put through a stir fry. Marinate overnight in your favourite marinade for an extra flavour boost. Cut into chunks and add to a casserole, salad, pie, or pasta recipe. Spoon’s Seitan Fillet makes a perfect meat alternative.
INGREDIENTS:
This product is handmade in Australia from local and imported ingredients: Gluten flour (78%),
miso (soybeans, water, rice, salt) (5%), soy sauce, white unbleached flour, non-GMO canola oil,
nutritional yeast, yeast extract, onion, garlic. White pepper.



COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
Pan fry or oven bake with a bit of oil until brown or to your desired colour. You can either cook the fillets whole or slice them before cooking. I prefer to pre-brown my fillet slices or chunks before adding them to a dish with sauce, but you could also add the fillet chunks that have not been cooked to the sauce and let it heat in the sauce (it will have a softer texture), or you can also marinate them. Try it all and see which works best for you.

Our Shredded Seitan is so awesome! You can add it to stir-fries, tacos, pies, pasta, curries, or any recipe that requires chicken. It has an amazingly meaty style texture with a delicious yet mild flavour (although the miso, onion & garlic powder do add to the taste), which makes it perfect for marinating, and it will also take on the flavour of whatever sauce you add.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:

Cook in a pan with oil until brown all over and hot all the way through, and then add your sauce and veggies. Add marinade, cover, and leave in the fridge for at least 4 hours, but longer is also fine. Then, cook in a pan. You can also experiment with cooking in the oven in a casserole. The choice is yours.
